Vamooos ("the App") is a sports field booking platform that connects players with field owners in Libya. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using Vamooos, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.

If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please stop using the App immediately.

3. How We Use Your Information

1. Create and manage your account — register, authenticate, and maintain your profile
2. Deliver core features — show fields, process bookings, send booking confirmations and updates
3. Send push notifications — booking confirmations, reminders, promotional announcements (you can opt out in device settings)
4. Show nearby fields — use your location to sort fields by distance (only when you request it)
5. Run the scoring and leaderboard system — track completed bookings to award points and display rankings
6. Communicate with you — respond to support requests
7. Improve the App — analyse usage patterns to fix bugs and improve features
8. Prevent fraud and abuse — detect suspicious activity and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not use your data for advertising profiling, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We require all third-party providers to handle your data securely and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

• Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in the European Union (Hetzner Cloud)
• Data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
• Passwords and authentication tokens are stored using industry-standard hashing and encryption
• We use Redis for temporary session data with automatic expiry
• Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only
• We regularly review and update our security measures

While we implement strong security practices, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify affected users within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Data Retention

When you delete your account through the App:

• Your personal data is immediately marked for deletion
• All pending bookings are cancelled
• Field owners are notified of affected bookings
• Your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days
• Aggregated, anonymised statistics may be retained indefinitely (these cannot identify you)

7. Your Rights

Regardless of where you are located, you have the following rights:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Update or correct inaccurate data through your profile settings
• Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data through the App (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us
• Portability — Request your data in a portable format
• Opt-out of notifications — Disable push notifications through your device settings at any time
• Withdraw location access — Revoke location permissions through your device settings at any time

8. Children's Privacy

Vamooos is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at legal@vamooos.app and we will delete that information.

9. Location Data

The App requests location permission to:

• Show fields near you when you open the map view
• Sort fields by distance when you select "Nearest"

Location is accessed only when you are actively using the App and only when you have granted permission. We do not track your location in the background. You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings — the App will continue to work, but distance-based features will be unavailable.

10. Push Notifications

We send push notifications for:

• Booking confirmations, cancellations, and status updates
• Upcoming booking reminders (1 hour before your game)
• New reviews on your fields (owners)
• System announcements from Vamooos

You can disable all push notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the App.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
• Notify you through the App with a prominent notice
• For material changes affecting your rights, require your acknowledgement before continuing to use the App

Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
